The Fortebio Octet Quantitation Course will:
• give you a thorough understanding of direct and multistep quantitation assays,
• work you hard, but feed you well, and, of course,
• explain how to get the most from your quantitation experiments on your Octet.
Program:
This three-day course will start off with theoretical training, followed by a continuous mix of practical and class room sessions, where experimental set-up will be discussed and obtained data analyzed. Practical sessions will cover simple direct measurements as well as complex multistep assays. Class room sessions will cover the afore mentioned and multiple other applications, like Ready BLI Detection kits for CHO host cell protein detection and for quantitation of leached protein A in bioprocess samples. Time to discuss participant’s data is also allocated.
Aim:
The aim of this course is to enable Octet user to set-up, run quantitation assays and analyze different types of data sets to perform assay development and troubleshooting with full confidence. This is done by providing the participant with theoretical knowledge and practical experience in developing and optimizing assays as well as data handling and analysis. The practical experience will be gained through hands-on experience in our Demo-Lab. Several parallel sessions will take care of data analysis using standard features and the latest improvements in our software under the supervision of ForteBio’s Application Team. This highly interactive course will also give the opportunity to network and knowledge-share with other Octet users, and learn more about how label-free assays are being used to characterize biomolecules in discovery and development.
